Yorkshire Energy Assessors Launch New Service

Lane Energy Assessors, a Yorkshire based family partnership offering HIPS and energy inspections, have just launched a new floor plan service, so buyers can visualise how their new home is laid out. Robert Lane, one of the founding partners of Lane Energy Assessors based in Yorkshire, said it was a logical service to start offering alongside their EPC energy inspections because from the beginning of next year HIPs need to be delivered rather than just ordered before a property can be put on the market and remove the need for a dedicated floor plan company. Mr Lane goes on to say that the partners expect it to be well received by estate agents.

HIPs blamed for 37pc fall in the number of family homes up for sale

Home Information Packs are being blamed for a 37-per-cent fall in the number of family homes coming on to the market. The HIPs became compulsory for homes with three bedrooms a month ago and for those with four or more in August.

Tories promise to scrap Hips

A Conservative government would scrap home information packs and reward social housing tenants for good behaviour, the party's conference in Blackpool was told today.
